Ahli will be without Mauritanian Dominique da Silva when they visit Tunisia’s Esperance in the CAF Champions League this month.
The in-form striker, who scored against Wydad Casablanca in the recent 3-3 draw, has been ruled out due to an abdominal injury.
“Dominique has an abdominal muscle strain. He will be out for about three weeks,” Ahli doctor Walid Abdul-Baqi told FilGoal.com.
Ahli will already be without attacking midfielder Mohamed Barakat, who is also out for at least three weeks with a broken arm.
However, Mohamed Fadl has resumed full training for the first time since sustaining a hamstring injury back in December 2010.
The injury-plagued striker has not played under Manuel Jose so far due to various setbacks that kept him on the sidelines for most of the season.
“Fadl is available but his inclusion in the squad is the manager’s decision,” Abdul-Baqi added.
