Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo will be out of action for three weeks after suffering injury in Sunday's Primera Liga draw with Mallorca.
Real said on their official site that the 25-year-old bruised his right ankle and will be sidelined until mid-September.
It means he will miss Portugal's EURO 2012 qualifiers against Cyprus and Norway next week as well as Real's Liga game with Osasuna on September 12th.
He is also unlikely to fit for Real's Champions League opener against Ajax on September 15th.
Ronaldo's injury adds to Jose Mourinho's team's woes as the Madridista have star midfielder Kaka out with a long-term knee problem.
