Mohamed Zidan captained Borussia Dortmund to victory in the pre-season LIGA Total Cup final, scoring against his former club Hamburg in a 2-0 win.
In a 60-minute match, Zidan skippered the Bundesliga champions and scored the second goal in the 51st minute, following Felipe Santana’s opener a minute earlier.
It is the fifth pre-season goal for the Egypt forward, who scored the only goal in a 2-1 defeat at Poland’s Polonia Warsaw last week.
After winning the Bundesliga title last season, Zidan implied that he could be leaving Signal Iduna in the summer, having played a cameo role in his team’s triumph.
Dortmund are now finished with pre-season as they gear up for their first competitive game against Schalke in the German Super Cup on Saturday.
